Kimchi is a fermented side dish that is the staple of Korean cuisine. The most common types are napa cabbage and radish, though there are in fact many more kinds of kimchi made from various leafy greens or root vegetables.

Each batch of volcano kimchi is brined and then fermented at room temperature for several days, depending on the weather. Some people prefer young kimchi that is less fermented. Others like it sour. The ideal time, imho, is between 2-3 weeks fermented.

• 10 minutes: Welcoming refreshment (Mocktail)
• 20 minutes: Demonstration on prepping and brining the vegetables and making kimchi sauce
• 15 minutes: Participants prepare the ingredients, chop, and salt them
• 15 minutes: Making the kimchi paste and Mixing the ingredients and packing into a jar

• Your entire team will work on a wall together, coloring within your instructors' lines
• At the end, you will have a beautiful wall (or a 9-piece artwork you can hang in your office)

• Your instructors will bring all supplies and plywood boards
• If you are painting a wall, it needs to be outside or in a well-ventilated area. Cover furniture you don't want to get paint on.

It's time to step outside, try your hand at gardening and volunteer for a local non-profit that makes green spaces available to the public!

In this half-day experience, you will learn the basics of gardening: the soil, the seeds, and the process. Gardening is not magic. It's a science (with a pinch of patience). Anyone can master it. (No pitchfork required!)

What to expect

• 20 minutes - Arrival, sign-in (standard waiver), wash hands, name tags (please ask everyone to arrive early or on time and carpool if possible)

In this intimate workshop, we’ll learn the centuries-old Japanese art philosophy Wabi Sabi, and reflect on thought-provoking questions.

In this class you’ll be wood burning a wooden treasure box! Perfect for jewelry, knick knacks, love notes and buried treasure! All equipment is provided, and beginners are welcome.

Another option for this class is creating your own customized cheese board.

During this fun and interactive 2-hour session, you and your guests will have the opportunity to decorate 4 delicious vanilla sugar cookies.

What to expect

Your instructor, Andrea, will kick off the class by sharing a brief history of sugar cookie decorating, with a chance to win a sweet mini prize!

Andrea will then guide you through each step, from outlining to flooding and adding intricate details using royal icing. You'll get a practice sheet to try piping before decorating your cookies. All icings will be pre-made, bagged, and labeled for your convenience.

In this live in person class at the Mandoo Club gorgeous garden, you will up your cooking game by learning how Korean dumplings are made from scratch. All ingredients will be prepped for you before class During class, we will go through each step of the process from making your own dough wrapper, chopping and seasoning to professional folding techniques.

At the end of the class, you will be able to enjoy your own homemade mandoos with the group.

In this pottery class, you won't need to worry about the pottery wheel. Instead, you will be hand-building your next favorite mug or bowl.

Set your work aside and learn this ancient pottery technique. Instead of using a pottery wheel, you will use your hands, fingers and simple tools.

We will go over the technique and share examples of what you can build. You will then follow your instruction sheet to build at your own pace. Your final creation will be beautifully imperfect!

Unlike the wheel-throwing pottery class, the hand-building pottery class can come to your office!

We bring yummy artisan scones and muffins (gluten-free) to your office. They will be paired with organic butter and jam.

Get your team together and learn how to make your own candles. This workshop is equal parts precision and creativity. Every finished candle will be unique, just like every human in your group.

What to expect

• 15 minutes: introduction to candle making and scents
• 30 minutes: mix your own scents and pour candles
• 30 minutes: relax and chat as you wait for your candles to set to trim the wick

Your instructor will bring all equipment and supplies to set up your candle-making stations. Make sure you have enough table space for everyone's workstations and for the aroma bar (one table is enough). Keep in mind that the team will need to hang out for 15-30 minutes to wait for their candles to set. We recommend that you have refreshments and drinks ready for them so they can be entertained as they wait.
