What you'll do
It's time to step outside, try your hand at gardening and volunteer for a local non-profit that makes green spaces available to the public!
In this half-day experience, you will learn the basics of gardening: the soil, the seeds, and the process. Gardening is not magic. It's a science (with a pinch of patience). Anyone can master it. (No pitchfork required!)
What to expect

20 minutes - Arrival, sign-in (standard waiver), wash hands, name tags (please ask everyone to arrive early or on time and carpool if possible)

10 minutes - Introductions, learn more about our work in food security and environmental justice

30 minutes - Tour

90 minutes - Farm volunteering: we can accommodate all levels of interest, energy, and ability - it is important to us that everyone be matched with a project they feel good participating in. Possible contributions include:
- Flipping compost piles
- Planting
- Weeding & preparing garden beds
- Mulching pathways
- Sowing seeds

30 minutes - Harvest vegetables like collard greens, kales, lettuces etc. for you all to bring home!
What to Bring -

- A bag (to bring home some produce)
**Travel light! The farm is an open public space with no secure storage for bags. Leave valuables at home and be mindful of your personal belongings, as you would in any park setting.
Please note that the farm is located close to a highway, and it might get noisy.

You event will be booked once we receive the payment.
Yes, you are welcome to customize your event. All of our events are mix-and-match. For example, if you want to host a candle-making event at your office instead of a studio downtown, you can! If you want to add catering, we can help. Just drop us a note when you book, and we'll arrange it for you!
Yes, we work only with highly reliable vendors. Every single one of our vendors is a small business owner. We either saw them in action or received a recommendation from one of our clients. Small business owners spend years mastering their skills and put great care into planning your experience.
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We also accept ACH transfers. You can securely enter your payment details by following the invoice/payment link in the confirmation email.
If your business needs to run team events regularly, we are happy to send invoices to your accounting software.
Cancel seven calendar days before your event time and get a full refund. All other cancelations are not refundable. However, if the experience provider agrees to it, you can receive a voucher to run the same experience on another date. For cancellations, please contact hello@spaciously.io
